What Actually Counts as a Kelowna Bonus
In Kelowna, casino bonuses usually trace back to just two places: Chances Casino Kelowna and Playtime Casino Kelowna. Both are under the BC gaming framework and both lean heavily on Encore Rewards. That loyalty card is where most bonus value lands. When someone talks about a Kelowna bonus, they usually mean one of a few specific reward formats. They look similar from the outside, but they do not work the same once you are on the floor.
Bonus Play is the main format you see. It sits on your Encore Rewards card and can only be used on eligible slot machines or electronic table games. It acts like playable credit, not real cash. You cannot cash it out, only wager it. That is the baseline version most people run into first.
Table Match Play is different and only used at Playtime Casino Kelowna. Instead of loading to the card, it is a paper voucher that matches a qualifying bet at select live tables, under detailed rules. DICE Bucks show up at Chances Casino Kelowna as yet another type of reward currency, separate again from standard Bonus Play. You will also bump into betting vouchers that tie into PROLINE sports bets, plus the occasional food-and-beverage coupon wrapped into a gaming promo.
So it matters which specific type of Kelowna bonus a promotion is offering before you show up. Walking in assuming you are getting Bonus Play and being handed a meal coupon or Match Play voucher instead absolutely happens, and it can throw off your plans.
Active Promotions and What They Actually Require
| Promotion | Venue | Reward | Key Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dine and Play | Chances Kelowna, Playtime Kelowna | $15 Bonus Play | Min. $10 restaurant spend before tax, no alcohol |
| 5 After 5 | Playtime Casino Kelowna | $5 Slot Bonus Play or $5 Table Match Play + $5 food coupon | Encore Rewards membership, eligible Friday hours only |
| Kelowna Sports Club | Chances Casino Kelowna | $10-$100 Bonus Play weekly | Weekly sports prediction scores, Encore Rewards required |
| Sports Club Progressive | Chances Casino Kelowna | $200+ Bonus Play (grows weekly) | Exact-score prediction, increases $2 per prior-week participant |
| PROLINE Event Promo | Chances Casino Kelowna | Entry ballots for prize draws | $5 sports bet at PROLINE terminal per entry |
Dine and Play is hands-down the simplest way in. You eat on-site, hit the spend requirement, then convert that into Bonus Play. Spend at least $10 before tax at a participating restaurant at either casino, ask staff for the Dine and Play voucher before you step out of the dining area, then take it over to get $15 in Bonus Play loaded onto your Encore Rewards card. Alcohol is not part of that $10 minimum, only food and non-alcoholic drinks count toward it.
Kelowna Sports Club works differently. It is a weekly prediction setup based on sports matchups. Participants fill out score predictions, then the venue ranks the results. The top five scores each week get Bonus Play: tiers run from $10 up to $100, loaded straight onto the Encore Rewards card. Alongside that, there is a progressive exact-score prize that starts at $200 Bonus Play and grows by $2 for every person who played the prior week if nobody hit the exact score. Leave it a few weeks with no winner and that prize total gets big enough that people really start watching it.
All that only matters if the promo is actually active. Promotion periods open and close, sometimes with less warning than you would expect. Dates, eligibility windows, and fine print change between campaign runs. So before you buy food, place a sports bet, or sit down for what you think is a qualifying session, it is worth quickly confirming the current terms with the venue.
How to Claim the Dine and Play Bonus
Dine and Play runs at both Kelowna casino locations, which keeps it fairly consistent. It is also one of the least fussy promos to actually redeem when you follow the steps.
- Head to Chances Casino Kelowna or Playtime Casino Kelowna during an active Dine and Play period.
- Sit down at one of the on-site restaurants. Spend at least $10 before tax on food and non-alcoholic drinks - alcohol does not add to that total.
- Before you leave the restaurant area, ask the server or restaurant staff for the Dine and Play voucher.
- Make sure you have an active Encore Rewards card in your wallet. If you do not yet, go to the Encore Rewards desk and sign up first.
- Take the voucher out to the designated redemption desk or kiosk on the casino floor.
- Hand over your Encore Rewards card and the Dine and Play voucher together.
- Staff load $15 in Bonus Play onto the card - you can check the balance right away on a reader or at the desk.
- Use that Bonus Play on the specific slots or electronic games listed in the current Dine and Play promo rules.
It is worth building one little habit here: after any bonus is added, tap your card at a reader and check the numbers. It takes a few seconds, and it avoids having to sort it out later while you are already at a machine.
Entering the Kelowna Sports Club Weekly Contest
Kelowna Sports Club is more of a weekly rhythm for regulars at Chances Casino Kelowna than a one-off hit. It sticks to sports, predictions, and recurring Bonus Play for the highest scorers.
- If you do not have an Encore Rewards card yet, get one first at the loyalty desk at Chances Casino Kelowna.
- Once that is sorted, find the Kelowna Sports Club area or just ask floor staff to point you in the right direction.
- Look over the weekly matchup card. It lists that week’s games that you can predict.
- Fill out your score predictions for each listed matchup on the entry slip or form provided.
- Hand in your entry before the weekly cut-off. Late entries are just not accepted, even if you were close.
- After the week ends, staff tally and rank everyone’s scores based on results.
- The top five finishers have Bonus Play credited straight to their Encore Rewards cards: the standard prize structure is $10, $20, $25, $50, and $100.
- If you hit the exact score on the designated match and there was no winner in the previous week, the progressive prize of at least $200 Bonus Play gets added to your card at the higher, accumulated value.
